Award Winning Artists Mark Newton and Steve Thomas Set to Jam the NAMM

Mark NewtonNashville, TN -- Bluegrass and acoustic music artists Mark Newton and Steve Thomas proudly announce their performance at the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Conference on July 14th. The duo, fresh off a tour of East Tennessee, Virginia, and Western North Carolina, are back in action on Saturday July 14th at the Nashville Convention Center performing at the Cedar Creek Cases and Paige Capos booths during the conference. The event is held in conjunction with NAMM Public Day (open to the general public) and admission tickets for the conference and trade show are $15.00

Newton is well known for his contributions to the field of bluegrass and acoustic music as an artist, producer, writer, and vocalist having toured and performed with such greats as Bill Monroe, The Seldom Scene, The Virginia Squires, and the Knoxville Grass. Thomas, a highly regarded writer and producer, has been involved with various forms of acoustic music for over 30 years including recording with artists to include Brooks and Dunn, The Whites, Barbara Mandrell, and The Osborne Brothers to name a few. Their shows are high energy and run a spectrum of musical genres reaching from Merle Haggard cover tunes, to bluegrass standards from Flatt and Scruggs, and some of their own material.

Acoustic Jam 2012"We are excited to performing at the NAMM at the Nashville Convention Center" said Newton. "It's sure to be a fun afternoon of music with Steve Thomas. We are looking forward to it and hope to see many of our friends during the event!"

Thomas and Newton have performed in a variety of bands over the years and have contributed much to the world of acoustic music. The shows are always filled with a wide variety of music, covering country, bluegrass, roots, folk, and Americana. The shows cover a wide genre that will appeal to listening audiences of all types.

"It's always great to play music in Nashville, especially for an event like NAMM and the good folks of Cedar Creek Cases and Paige Capos. The attendees can expect a great afternoon of entertainment and we look forward to seeing our friends from the area." said Thomas.

The show from the duo is at the NAMM in the Nashville Convention Center will kick off at 2pm at Cedar Creek Cases booth #1106. Newton and Thomas then move to Paige Capos booth #1404 from 330-430pm. There is a $15.00 admission charge for the conference which will allow access to the performance as well. The event is public admission and is all ages. Hours are 10am-4pm CT.
